First responders and teachers have been invaluable allies during the COVID-19 pandemic. Juggling work with their families while fighting back against its spread has required remarkable dedication from them all, so as a token of our appreciation Disney is offering special hotel discounts at various hotels and resorts in Orlando through July 14th as a thank you gift.
Whoever qualifies for the Disney Resort First Responder Discount can stay in hotels such as B Resort & Spa, DoubleTree Suites by Hilton, Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace, Holiday Inn Lake Buena Vista, Wyndham Garden Inn Lake Buena Vista that are within walking distance to Disney Springs (formerly Downtown Disney). Bookings come complete with a “Passport to Savings” booklet offering eligible guests discounts from merchants such as STK Orlando, House of Blues Restaurant & Bar, T-REX Cafe Rainforest Cafe etc.
Although special Disney Springs hotel offers are open to police officers, firefighters, paramedics, EMTs and EMTs who can verify their status with valid government ID cards, it remains unknown whether nurses will also qualify. There may still be ways of saving as first responders by joining GovX or Heroes Vacation Club – however.
First responder discounts often go quickly, so if you want to take advantage of this deal it may be advisable to book sooner rather than later. In Florida it is tropical storm season so please exercise caution if visiting during this period.
