How To Get The Garmin First Responder Discount
There’s no code to enter and no verification step, because no consumer program turned up. Garmin’s home page has a For Business menu with a link called Marine First Responder Solutions, which sits among Garmin’s business offerings and isn’t a discount for individual buyers. Garmin’s promotions page is titled Garmin Sales, Promotions, Discounts and Rebate Offers and doesn’t name first responders. The address garmin.com/en-US/first-responders/ returns a Page not found. ID.me says it isn’t aware of Garmin offering first responders community discounts, and the ID.me page for Garmin is titled Garmin Discounts and Cash Back for Everyone. Fluz has a Garmin page, but it’s only the general virtual card, a card that earns cash back on whatever you pay with it, and isn’t a Garmin offer. TopCashback’s Garmin address comes back as Page Not Found, and Active Junky has no Garmin page. That leaves Rakuten.
What Rakuten Leaves Out
Read this part before you pick a model, because it can change which watch you buy. Rakuten’s terms say cash back isn’t available on maps, all Marine Products, Fenix 7 Series, Fenix 8 Series and Epix (Gen 2), and the list continues with other named models. If your heart is set on a watch from one of those lines, the click-through won’t earn you anything on it. We don’t print a cash back rate here because the figure changes, so open Rakuten’s Garmin page the day you buy and read both the rate and the full exclusion list.
Since the exclusions are by model, check your exact watch name against Rakuten’s list before you add it to the cart. If a model is excluded, ask Garmin customer support whether it has a first responder or public safety price you can use at checkout, because it costs nothing to ask and we couldn’t read Garmin’s support search ourselves.
