5 Star Nutrition takes 5% off for active Police, Fire, and EMT customers, verified through ID.me at checkout. It’s a small discount with real fine print: it can’t be combined with other promotional codes or with Subscribe & Save, and the page’s footnote lists exclusions you’ll want to read before you build a cart.
5 Star Nutrition is a supplement retailer that carries a range of brands rather than just its own. Its story page says it started in 2009, when a group of tight-knit college friends opened the first 5 Star Nutrition location in Austin, Texas, to keep each other accountable to their goals. The company still lists a store locator and a phone line, (888) 301-0065, on its site. The first responder offer sits on its own page, titled Military & First Responder Discount, linked from the footer of the site.
How To Get The 5 Star Nutrition First Responder Discount
The page says 5 Star Nutrition offers a 5% military discount off the entire purchase for current and former military personnel, and a 5% first responder discount for active Police, Fire, and EMT customers. It also says you can receive your discount at checkout by verifying your eligibility with ID.me. The groups it names are active Police, Fire, and EMT customers, so a retired officer or a dispatcher should ask customer service before relying on it.
- Build your cart on 5 Star Nutrition’s website.
- At checkout, choose to verify your eligibility with ID.me.
- Complete the verification, and the 5% discount is applied to your purchase.
The page’s own FAQ list includes a question about whether you have to verify every time you buy and another about where the ID.me button is on mobile. The answers weren’t readable on the page when it was checked, so if you can’t find the button on your phone, call the number above or email customer service before you give up on the discount.
The Fine Print On The 5%
The page says the discount can’t be combined with other promotional codes or with items purchased using Subscribe & Save. That matters because 5 Star Nutrition advertises Subscribe & Save at up to 10% with Auto-Delivery. For something you reorder every month, the auto-delivery discount may beat the 5%, and since the two don’t combine, work out which is better for what’s in your cart.
The footnote at the bottom of the page adds more. It says offers are valid on select Anabolic Warfare, FoxyFit, and NutraOne products only, that promotions exclude all Axe & Sledge, Bucked Up, BlackMarket, Insane Labz, Redone1, RAW Nutrition, and Ryse products, and that promotions exclude all proteins. The page doesn’t say whether the 5% first responder discount counts as one of those promotions. If your cart is mostly protein, ask customer service before you order instead of finding out at checkout.
Returns And Shipping
5 Star Nutrition’s refund policy gives you 30 days from the delivery date to return any unopened product. You need to contact customer service with your order number and full name before sending anything back, and you’re responsible for shipping the product to the return address in Austin. Customer service can provide a return label, and the cost of shipping is then deducted from your final refund. The site’s footer says free shipping applies to the lower 48 states, with typical delivery in 4-5 business days.
