Vital Proteins gives police, fire and EMT workers 15% off a one-time order, with a code from VerifyPass. Teachers and military members get the same rate, and the page says subscriptions are left out.
Vital Proteins sells collagen products and supplements. The offer is easy to find once you know where it lives, because it sits on its own page and in a blog post rather than in the menu. If collagen is already in your cart most weeks, the pieces worth knowing first are how the code works and what it can’t be stacked with.
How To Get The Vital Proteins First Responder Discount
The offer runs through VerifyPass, which checks your status and hands you a code. Here’s the path Vital Proteins describes:
- Open Vital Proteins’ military, first responder and teacher discount page.
- Under First Responder & Government, which the widget labels Police, Fire and EMT, Federal and Local, click Get Code and sign in to VerifyPass.
- Verify your status. VerifyPass asks you to present valid documents, such as an official ID card, badge or paystub from your first responder employer.
- Apply the one-time code at checkout on vitalproteins.com.
- For your next order, come back to the same page and repeat. There’s a limit of one code per 24 hours.
What The 15% Covers, And What It Doesn’t
The terms on the page are specific, and a few of them catch people. The 15% applies to an order that isn’t a subscription. It isn’t valid on merchandise, bundles, sets, kits, e-giftcards, subscriptions, wholesale orders, items noted as not eligible, or items that aren’t in stock when you buy. It can’t be used with any other offer or discount, it isn’t valid during certain promotional periods, and it can’t be applied to an order you’ve already placed.
The one that matters if you shop through a rewards site: the page says the discount may not be used in combination with third party loyalty, reward or cash-back programs. If you normally click through a cash back portal, don’t expect to collect both on the same order.
The post also answers a question people ask about gifts. Because VerifyPass wants documents from the first responder, you can’t use your own account to buy for someone else. The suggestion is to send them the link so they can shop and verify for themselves.
Two Things That Don’t Quite Line Up
VerifyPass’s own listing for Vital Proteins ends its first responder block with “We hope you enjoy this 10% discount and the product you order.” Vital Proteins’ page and blog post both say 15%. The company’s own pages are the better source, but the code VerifyPass gives you is what counts, so look at the total in your cart before you pay.
The FAQ is the second one. It says the only ongoing discount Vital Proteins offers is through its subscription program, which takes 15% off all future orders plus free shipping. That sentence is about ongoing discounts, and the first responder code is a one-time code, so the two aren’t a contradiction, but the FAQ doesn’t mention the first responder offer at all. Vital Proteins also says it doesn’t accept additional discounts on subscription orders, so you’re choosing between the code on a single order and the subscription price.
Shipping, Returns And The Newsletter Code
Vital Proteins offers free ground shipping on single orders of $50 or more shipped within the contiguous United States, and it doesn’t ship internationally or to the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam or Puerto Rico. Its returns page asks you to notify it of any problems within 30 days of receiving an order made through vitalproteins.com, and says some returns may be subject to a restocking fee, so contact its team first. The site’s newsletter sign-up promises 15% off your first order, which is worth comparing if you haven’t bought from Vital Proteins before.
