Asics gives first responders a discount on full-priced items, verified through SheerID once you have a free OneASICS account. Asics doesn’t publish the percentage for first responders, so you see your rate after you verify, and you can use it on up to two purchases a month.
Asics sells running shoes, training shoes and apparel, and a lot of first responders buy there for the same reason: long shifts on hard floors and a pair of shoes that has to last. If your current pair is worn out, this is worth five minutes before you pay full price.
How To Get The Asics First Responder Discount
- Join OneASICS for free, then log in to your account.
- Verify your status through SheerID. You may be asked for a work email.
- Wait for the confirmation email from Asics.
- Shopping online, log in and apply the discount to qualifying items in your bag. In a store, show the QR code from the email to the associate.
Who Qualifies
Asics lists first responders as one of the groups in its discount program, alongside medical professionals, military service members, teachers, students, employees of select gyms and employees of Asics corporate partners. It doesn’t list individual jobs, so a firefighter, police officer, EMT or paramedic should verify as a first responder and let SheerID handle the check. Asics notes that each group can have its own eligibility rules, so the requirements that apply to you are the ones SheerID shows you when you verify.
What You Save
The discount percentage isn’t printed for first responders. Asics says each group may get a different percentage, and you learn yours once you’re verified. If a roundup quotes you a number, treat it as unconfirmed until you see it in your own account.
What The Discount Leaves Out
After SheerID approves you, you can use the discount on up to two purchases a month, online at ASICS.com or in an Asics U.S. retail store. Each purchase can include a maximum of five full-priced items. It doesn’t apply to sale or reduced-price merchandise, and you can’t combine it with other offers, discounts or promotions.
The one exception is the offer for new OneASICS members, which gives 10% off a first purchase and can be used alongside the discount. If you’re brand new to Asics, that’s a reason to join before you shop.
