Xbox doesn’t have a first responder program that we could find, and ID.me has no first responder page for it. The route that checks out for money back is an Xbox gift card from Fluz, which earns cash back and works at Microsoft Store online, on Windows and on Xbox.
Fluz describes its Xbox card as a gift code for devices, games, software, apps, movies and music. It arrives as a digital code by email, and Fluz says you can use it to buy popular games, apps and add-ons. If there’s a console, a game or an add-on on somebody’s wish list, a card is the piece of that purchase that can pay you back.
How To Get The Xbox First Responder Discount
We read Xbox’s US home page and its footer, which lists Microsoft account, Microsoft Store Support, Returns, Orders tracking, Store locations and Rewards. None of it mentions first responders, military or ID.me, and a made-up address on the same site returned a real not-found page, so the home page read was genuine. ID.me’s first responder page for Xbox comes back as page not found. Two addresses we tried on the Microsoft Store for a first responder or military discount also came back as page cannot be found.
Microsoft’s support site does mention a discount. Its answer on guest checkout says you need a Microsoft account to receive a student, parent, teacher or military discount. First responders aren’t named. Here’s the route that’s real for you:
- Open Fluz’s Xbox page and buy an Xbox gift card.
- Fluz says the card is redeemable online only, so plan to spend it in the Microsoft Store or on your console.
- Use the code when you buy the games, add-ons or devices you want.
- Fluz says its cash back can be combined with platform rewards when you buy gaming gift cards, so check what your other rewards earn too.
We don’t print a rate here because it moves. Read the percentage on Fluz’s page the day you buy.
Using It On Holiday Orders
Xbox’s pages don’t say whether sale items, Black Friday or Cyber Monday sales, or stacked offers affect anything, and since there’s no first responder discount there’s no group rule to apply. Fluz’s terms are the ones to read. Its page says the gift code is good online, on Windows and on Xbox, and that it can’t be used at physical Microsoft Stores. A code that arrives by email also suits a present that has to be ready fast, because there’s nothing to wrap or ship.
