HBO Max doesn’t have a first responder discount that we could find. Its help center lists a discounted plan for eligible students, and nothing on its site or in ID.me covers police, firefighters, EMTs or paramedics.
HBO Max is a premium streaming service, and the student plan is the only group discount its help center describes. If someone in your household is a student, that plan is worth a look. For everyone else, the savings come from other services or from how you pay.
How To Get The HBO Max First Responder Discount
There’s no program to claim and no code to verify. If you’re signing up anyway, this is the order that makes sense:
- Read the plan prices on HBO Max’s own sign-up page, and confirm the total before you enter a card.
- If a student in your home is eligible, open HBO Max’s student discount help article and follow its steps for that account.
- Skip any coupon site that promises a first responder code. Nothing on HBO Max’s pages backs one up.
- If you’d rather get a little back on a purchase you were going to make anyway, the one route is a Fluz virtual card, which is a payment card and not an HBO Max offer.
We don’t print a rate for the card because it moves, so read the current figure on Fluz’s HBO Max page before you rely on it.
What About Cash Back Sites
Rakuten has no HBO Max page of its own: the address returns its general homepage, headed Rakuten: Shop. Get Cash Back. Repeat. TopCashback sends HBO Max to a category page, and MaxRebates sends it to its home page, so neither carries the service. That leaves no named cash back route at the sites we use, which is why this post is filed as unavailable.
Streaming Services That Do Give First Responders A Discount
A few other services have a real first responder offer, so they’re worth comparing before you commit. Our Peacock page covers a first responder plan price, our Fubo page covers live TV, and our Fox Nation page covers a first year offer. Each has its own verification, so read the steps on the post before you start.
Q&A
Q: Does HBO Max give first responders a discount?
A: Not that we could find. Its help center lists a discounted plan for eligible students and no first responder program.
Q: Does the student discount work for first responders?
A: Only if you’re an eligible student. It’s a student plan, not a job-based one.
Q: Is there a cash back route for HBO Max?
A: Not at the sites we check. Rakuten’s address returns its general homepage, and TopCashback and MaxRebates don’t carry HBO Max.
Q: Is a Fluz card the same as a discount?
A: No. It’s a virtual payment card that can pay for HBO Max, so any cash back comes from the card and not from HBO Max.
Q: Which streaming service should I look at instead?
A: Our Peacock page covers a first responder offer you can claim.
