I couldn’t find a first responder discount at DeWalt. Its home, ERebates, warranty and About pages don’t mention first responders or military shoppers, and ID.me’s page for DeWALT Coolers says “We’re not aware that DeWALT Coolers offers First Responders discounts.” That’s a different product line from the power tools, but my searches of ID.me and GovX turned up no page for DeWalt’s tools either.
DeWalt started in 1924 in Leola, Pennsylvania, and Wikipedia credits Raymond E. DeWalt, inventor of the radial arm saw, with founding it. Wikipedia says American Machine & Foundry bought the company in 1949 and sold it to Black & Decker in 1960, and in 1992 Black & Decker began rebranding its professional and high-end power tools as DeWalt. Those first tools were rebadged Black & Decker models in a new yellow housing, with an expanded warranty and service policy. DeWalt is now a subsidiary of Stanley Black & Decker.
How To Get The DeWalt First Responder Discount
There’s no first responder code or ID check to claim here, so the way to save is DeWalt’s ERebates page, which is open to anyone who buys a qualifying kit. The offer I saw when I wrote this was a free 20V MAX 6Ah battery and charger kit (model DCB206C) with the purchase of one of three premium combo kits. DeWalt limits it to six redemptions per person, says it can’t be combined with any other offer, discount or promotion, and applies it only to purchases made at authorized retailers and shipped to the 48 contiguous U.S. states. The page lists the kits and the dates, and you redeem on Rebates.DEWALT.com.
If you want to ask about a first responder price, the warranty page lists Customer Service at 1-800-4-DEWALT (1-800-433-9258). I don’t know what they’ll tell you, but the number is there if you want to ask.
One more thing I came across: dewaltfirstresponder.com opens to a Claim Manager login, and its sign-up page asks for a dealership name and entity number. The login page says “Log in now to view current rebate programs and submit claims” and greets you with “WELCOME TO THE CUB CADET DSI WEBSITE.” Nothing public on it says who qualifies for what, so I can’t tell you whether a first responder rebate is running through dealers. If you buy from a dealer, it’s worth asking.
Q&A
Q: Does DeWalt give first responders a discount?
A: Not that I could find. The home, ERebates, warranty and About pages don’t mention first responders or military shoppers, ID.me says it isn’t aware that DeWALT Coolers offers one, and I found no ID.me or GovX page for DeWalt’s tools. If someone offers you one, ask who verifies you and where it applies before you count on it.
Q: Can I buy tools straight from DeWalt?
A: DeWalt’s Shop Safe page says DeWalt Industrial Tools “does not sell tools directly to end users via online platforms.” Its home page says its products “are available online and at retailers nationwide,” and its Find A Retailer page has tabs for Local Retailers, Online Retailers and Service Centers.
Q: How do I tell if a DeWalt website is real?
A: DeWalt says you can verify whether a website is an authorized reseller on the Authorized Retailer list on its site. The same page warns about scam sites advertising on social media with prices “too good to be true, such as a drill and impact driver combo kit for $2.” If you gave a card number or bank information to one, DeWalt says to tell your financial institution as soon as possible so it can put a hold on your account and prevent further charges, and to send DeWalt the website’s URL through its support request form.
Q: What warranty comes with a DeWalt tool?
A: DeWalt’s warranty page says most of its tools come with a three-year limited warranty, a one-year free service contract and a 90-day money back guarantee. The warranty is extended only to the original end-user purchaser, and DeWalt says proof of purchase showing when and where you bought the tool may be required, so keep the receipt.
Q: Does the warranty cover a tool I bought from a random website?
A: Only if that site is a DeWalt authorized seller. DeWalt says its warranty applies only if the product was purchased from DeWalt or a DeWalt authorized seller, and that it “reserves the right to reject warranty claims for products purchased from unauthorized sellers, including unauthorized internet sites.”
Q: Can I return a tool I don’t like?
A: For a DeWalt power tool, laser or nailer, the 90-day money back guarantee says that if you’re not completely satisfied for any reason you can return it within 90 days from the date of purchase or delivery, whichever is later, for a full refund. It carries the same authorized-seller condition as the warranty.
Q: Who can use the ERebates offer?
A: It’s a purchase offer, not a group discount. You buy one of the listed combo kits at an authorized retailer and redeem on Rebates.DEWALT.com, “subject to verification and compliance with these Offer Terms.” The page I read doesn’t ask for a first responder or military status.
Q: Is there cash back on DeWalt purchases?
A: Not that I could find. Fluz’s site map doesn’t list a DeWalt store, so there’s no Fluz cash back route here.

If you’re pricing out tools for the truck, the station or the garage, Lowe’s, The Home Depot and Ace Hardware each have their own page, and the Home + Garden guides cover more brands.
