How To Get The PetSmart First Responder Discount

PetSmart’s help pages name no first responder discount, and ID.me says it isn’t aware of one, so the way to save is cash back on a PetSmart e-gift card through Fluz.

We read PetSmart’s help center, its discounts and online codes page, its coupon policy, its promotional terms and its Treats Rewards terms. None mentions military, veterans or first responders; the only military wording anywhere is about shipping to military addresses. A store manager can still do something a web page doesn’t print, so it never hurts to ask at the counter.

How To Get The PetSmart First Responder Discount

  1. Open Fluz’s PetSmart page with the button below and sign in, or join if you’re new.
  2. Buy a PetSmart e-gift card. Fluz’s page lists amounts from $10 to $500 and says the cards are redeemable online only.
  3. Pay with the gift card at checkout on petsmart.com.
  4. Read the cash back line on Fluz’s page on the day you buy. The rate moves, so we don’t print it.

Paying with a gift card doesn’t cost you Treats points. PetSmart’s Treats Rewards terms say a member who makes a qualifying purchase with a gift card earns points on the amount of the purchase, so the card and your rewards account can work together.

If You’d Rather Click Through

Rakuten, TopCashback, Active Junky and MaxRebates each have a real PetSmart page. Hoopla Doopla doesn’t carry it. Each site has its own limits:

  • Rakuten says cash back is offered on grooming (not grooming packages) and PetsHotel services after the service is completed, and that a coupon code it doesn’t list will void cash back.
  • TopCashback says cash back is applied only to your first Autoship order, not recurring ones.
  • Active Junky and MaxRebates both say that codes from other sites can void the cash back.

Fluz’s card is redeemable online only, so for a grooming or boarding visit booked at the store, the click-through sites are the ones whose pages mention services.

What PetSmart’s Own Terms Say About Stacking

PetSmart’s promotional terms say percentage or dollar-off offers may not be combinable with other promotions, offers or discounts. Its coupon policy says coupons may not be valid with other discounts or offers, and its online codes page says using multiple promotional codes might void promotions already applied. Put together, assume you can use one code per order and ask before you stack anything.

The same terms page lists Autoship at 35% off a first order, up to a maximum savings of $20.00, and 5% on recurring orders, for signed-in Treats Rewards members. Autoship isn’t valid on services, gift cards, gift certificates, previous purchases or charitable donations. That offer is open to every shopper, not just first responders.
