Barnett Outdoors gives first responders an exclusive discount on its crossbows and gear through GovX ID. You verify, get a discount code, and use it at checkout on barnettcrossbows.com. Barnett doesn’t say how much the code takes off, so your total at checkout is the number that counts.
Barnett makes crossbows, compound and recurve bows, arrows and accessories, and it’s a private family-owned business again after David Barnett and his business partner repurchased it. If you’re pricing a crossbow before the season, get the code first and compare the price with and without it.

Who Qualifies
Barnett lists active-duty military and veterans, first responders, law enforcement personnel, and firefighters and EMTs. Naming firefighters and EMTs next to law enforcement means a deputy, a firefighter and an EMT all use the same page. If your job is another emergency role, such as dispatch, you find out whether it fits when you verify.
What To Know Before You Order
Barnett ships by UPS during business days only, Monday to Friday, excluding holidays. Ground orders are estimated to arrive within 7 business days after the order ships, and expedited orders placed before noon ET on a business day ship the same day. Barnett ships within the 48 contiguous United States only, not to PO Boxes, and a signature isn’t required for delivery. If you’re ordering for the first day of a season, order early.
Barnett can only service so many older crossbows. It says it no longer has the parts to work on various older crossbow models, so it runs a trade-in program: if your older Barnett is on its eligible list, Barnett offers 30% off a trade-in toward a current crossbow. Check that list before you decide between repairing and replacing.
