How To Get The Concept2 First Responder Discount

Concept2 doesn’t offer individual first responders a discount that we could find, but it does say special pricing is available for police and fire departments. That’s a different thing from a personal discount, and it changes who should be asking.

Concept2 makes the RowErg, SkiErg and BikeErg, and its first responders page says its equipment is in places “from fire and EMS station gyms to state police training facilities.” So the company clearly sells to this world. Its pricing, though, is set up for departments and organizations, not for a verified individual at a checkout.

How To Get The Concept2 First Responder Discount

Concept2’s page puts it this way: “Special pricing is available for police and fire departments (US only).” Here’s how to use that:

  1. Decide who’s buying. If the department or station is buying, the special pricing applies to you. If you’re buying a rower for your own garage, we found no first responder pricing for that.
  2. Ask your department or station to contact Concept2. The page says state or municipal organizations should “contact us for a quote to see how we can help.”
  3. Call Concept2’s sales line, 800.245.5676, or use the email on its contact page, and say you’re asking about police or fire department pricing.
  4. If your department is tax exempt, say so. The page says Concept2’s customer service team can help make sure the order is tax exempt where applicable.

What We Read

We read Concept2’s first responders page and its government and military page, which handle federal purchasing through contracts and tell state and municipal organizations to contact Concept2 Sales and Support. Neither page describes a discount for an individual first responder, a code, or a verification service. A made-up address on the site returns a real “404 – Page not found” page, so those readings aren’t hiding behind a catch-all. Concept2’s site search is built by script and showed us nothing, so we didn’t lean on it.

The department pricing is stated without a percentage or a price, so there’s no figure to report. That’s worth knowing before you set a budget: the number comes from the quote.

The Cash Back Check

Fluz has no Concept2 page, and Rakuten returns its generic homepage for Concept2. TopCashback, Active Junky and Hoopla Doopla have no Concept2 page, and Price.com’s address for Concept2 returns a Page Not Found. MaxRebates answered the Concept2 addresses we tried with its homepage, which rules out only those addresses. So there’s no confirmed route to money back on a Concept2 order.

Q&A

Q: Does Concept2 give first responders a discount?
A: It offers special pricing to police and fire departments in the US, by quote. We found no discount for individuals.

Q: Can I get the department pricing for my home rower?
A: The page describes it for departments, so a personal purchase isn’t what it covers. You can still ask Concept2’s sales team.

Q: Who do I contact?
A: Concept2’s page lists a sales phone number, 800.245.5676, and an email on its contact page.

Q: Is there cash back?
A: None of the cash back sites we checked carries Concept2.

Q: Which rower or bike maker does give first responders a discount?
A: NordicTrack does. Its discount program page offers an extra 5% off your order and lists law enforcement officers and firefighters. See our NordicTrack first responder discount page.
