How To Get The HAIX First Responder Discount
The route is GovX, a membership site for military, first responders and law enforcement. GovX’s HAIX page describes exclusive HAIX Military, First Responder, Medical and Government discounts, and it says registration is free for life. You create an account, verify under the category that matches your job, and shop HAIX from GovX’s brand page.
GovX spells out who counts. Law enforcement means federal, state or local officers, including state police and highway patrol, sheriff’s departments, city police departments and correctional facilities. Fire means full-time or volunteer firefighters, including municipal fire departments, the National Parks Service, the US Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management. Medical workers are people working in the emergency medical field, a list that includes EMTs and paramedics. Pick the category that fits when you sign up.
Joining GovX also gives you a GOVX ID. GovX says you can use it to verify your Military or First Responder status at partner websites, and that means you don’t have to upload documents or share sensitive information. HAIX’s Own Instructor Programs
HAIX has a different kind of offer for certified instructors, and it isn’t a first responder discount. The Fire Instructor Program opens with “Special weartest pricing just for Fire Instructors!” and asks, “Are you a certified Fire Instructor?” The EMS and Law Enforcement versions follow the same pattern, with special weartest pricing for EMS and LE instructors. The pricing is only given to verified instructors.
To use it, you submit a form with the boot model and size, a phone number, a shipping address, a copy of your Instructor Certificate and a copy of a photo ID. A HAIX representative then calls to verify pricing and take payment. The limit is one HAIX boot per instructor, the order has to be paid with the credit card of the individual who submitted the application, and department purchase orders aren’t accepted. The EMS program adds that generalized instructor certificates, BLS or CPR for example, aren’t accepted, so the certificate has to be specific to EMS or EMT training.
