Kentucky Kingdom and Hurricane Bay officially kicked off their 2018 season on May 13 – both amusement park and waterpark! Louisville’s theme park boasts six world-class roller coasters, an expansive waterpark, as well as family rides for those looking for something less adventurous.
On Patriot Day Sept. 11th, they’re honoring first responders with a special day devoted to them: all active- and retired-military members, first responders, law enforcement workers and health care providers will gain free admission for themselves and up to 6 guests to the park, in addition to receiving one complimentary ticket that season for return visits.
Both parks provide locker rentals for all day rentals – you pay, select how many people will access it, and scan your wrist band at a locker aisle whenever entering or exiting a locker area. Kentucky Kingdom locker rentals tend to be slightly cheaper.
Entertainment/shows – Holiday World features dive shows, magic shows, juggling shows, Santa’s story time with singing and dancing mascots as well as Santa himself reading his story! Plus they have Muiki Bay Stage! At Kentucky Kingdom they feature Dancensation Showcase dance show as well as XPogo Stunt Team stunt teams performing incredible stunts every Friday evening during summer months as well as fireworks shows on Friday nights throughout summertime!
Both parks offer season passes that provide unlimited visits to both parks and Hurricane Bay, along with various additional benefits. Season passes can be purchased both online and at either park location.
