NARS gives first responders 15% off at narscosmetics.com once SheerID verifies you. The code is single-use and you can come back for a new one every 30 days, which suits a holiday shopper who buys in a couple of rounds.
NARS makes makeup, and its site organizes shopping into groups such as Cult Classics and the Orgasm Collection. It also sells gift cards, which are on its menu if you’d rather let someone choose their own shade. The page doesn’t say whether the discount applies to gift cards.
How To Get The NARS First Responder Discount
- Open NARS’s Community Offers page with the button below. The headline reads 15% off for students, teachers, first responders, military and medical personnel.
- Click the “I’m a First Responder” button under Get Verified. The page says you receive your exclusive offer code by verifying your status.
- Complete the SheerID steps. NARS describes SheerID as a third-party service it partnered with to confirm eligibility. It may ask for a document, and the page says to enter your first and last name the way they appear on that document so the match goes through.
- Copy the single-use promo code you’re issued.
- Shop at narscosmetics.com and enter the code at checkout.
The page also asks you to black out anything sensitive on a document that isn’t needed for verification, and says the SheerID system destroys and purges documents once a request is approved or denied.
Using It On Holiday Orders
The 30-day rule shapes how you shop. NARS says you can use the discount once every 30 days, with a new promo code each time, and that each code works for one purchase. If your list is long, put everything into one order, because a second order within 30 days won’t get a second code.
The page says the offer may not be combined with any other offer or discount. It adds that the code is valid for a limited stretch and that specific exclusions may apply, without printing an end date or listing the exclusions. It also doesn’t mention sale items, Black Friday or Cyber Monday. If NARS runs a sale while you shop, compare totals with and without the code before you pay.
Where It Works
The page says the discount is valid only on narscosmetics.com, and it doesn’t mention stores. Because the page gives the code no end date, verify when you’re ready to buy rather than weeks ahead.
Q&A
Q: How much do first responders save at NARS?
A: The page says 15% off.
Q: Who verifies me?
A: SheerID, which the page calls a third-party service NARS partnered with to verify your eligibility.
Q: How often can I use it?
A: Once every 30 days. The promo code you receive works one time, and you re-verify after 30 days to get a new one.
Q: Can I use it with another offer?
A: No. The page says the offer may not be combined with any other offer or discount.
Q: Can I pass my code to a family member for their order?
A: The page doesn’t address sharing. It says the code is issued to you when you verify your own status and can be used only once, so check with NARS before you hand one over.
Q: Does it work in a store?
A: The page says the discount is valid only on narscosmetics.com.
Q: What if I shop for makeup at a big beauty retailer instead?
A: Our Sephora page explains that a standing first responder discount there couldn’t be confirmed, so it points to what to check at checkout.
