ORCA does not offer a first responder discount, and at the moment it does not have a working online store either. If you came here to claim something, there is nothing to claim. What follows is what happened to the brand, and where to buy a cooler with a discount that actually exists.
ORCA, which stands for Outdoor Recreation Company of America, built roto-molded hard coolers, drinkware and bar gear out of Tennessee. The coolers competed with YETI and RTIC at the premium end, and the brand had a real following among people who wanted long ice retention without buying the market leader.
How To Get The Orca Coolers First Responder Discount
You cannot, because the page that used to carry it is gone and so is the storefront behind it.
ORCA used to run its responder and military pricing through GovX ID, at a discounts page on its own site. That URL still loads. What it shows now is a letter to customers headed “we’re not going anywhere”, promising new product and pointing gift card holders at other brands in the same group.
The rest of the site tells the same story. Product pages, collection pages and the discounts page all return the identical letter rather than anything you can put in a cart. There is no catalog, no pricing and no checkout. A made-up address on the same site still returns a proper “not found” error, so this is not a broken link or a bad guess on our part. The store has been replaced with the notice.
Two other details are worth knowing before you spend time chasing this. The gift card deadline named in that letter has already passed. And the letter’s reassurance sits under a current copyright line, so the page looks maintained while the deadline inside it does not.
You may still see ORCA gear listed on discount marketplaces. Treat those listings carefully. A marketplace can keep a brand page up long after the manufacturer stops shipping, and a discount on something nobody is fulfilling is not a discount.
What To Buy Instead
If you want a hard cooler and a first responder discount in the same purchase, RTIC is the straightforward answer right now. From RTIC’s own FAQ: “RTIC Outdoors offers a 10% discount on all orders for Active Military, Active Military Spouses, and First Responders.”
RTIC names the groups explicitly rather than leaving you to guess: law enforcement officers, firefighters and emergency medical technicians, alongside active military and their spouses. Verification runs through ID.me at checkout, and the 10% applies to the whole order rather than a short list of eligible items.
YETI also runs responder pricing through ID.me, and it is worth a look if you want that specific brand, though it comes with more conditions: an annual spending cap, and exclusions covering new releases, seasonal colors and customization.
