How To Get The TruGreen First Responder Discount How To Get The TruGreen First Responder Discount

TruGreen 🚫

TruGreen’s discount page is written for military service, not for first responders. It offers 10% to active, reservist, veteran and retired US military personnel, and it never names police, fire or EMS. ID.me says it isn’t aware that TruGreen offers first responders discounts.

That leaves a firefighter or deputy asking for a lawn plan without a program to point to. This page lays out what TruGreen’s pages say, who the military discount is for, and what to try if the lawn is next on your list.

How To Get The TruGreen First Responder Discount

No first responder program turned up, so there’s no code to claim for your job. This is what we’d try, in order:

  1. Call TruGreen or ask the sales representative who quotes you whether any rate exists for first responders. The page doesn’t say one does, and a person can answer what a page doesn’t.
  2. Ask which plan fits your lawn before you ask about price, and get the quote in writing.
  3. Ask what the quote includes and whether it is tied to an annual plan.

If you end up paying full price and want something back, the route is a Fluz virtual card. Fluz’s virtual card is a general payment card that pays a percentage back at many stores, and its rate moves, so read what the card shows for this merchant before you count on it. Fluz has a TruGreen page, but it’s for the general card and not a TruGreen offer.

What The Military Page Says

TruGreen’s military discount page says the company offers 10% to all active, reservist, veteran and retired US military personnel, and it describes eligible service as active duty, National Guard, Reserve, retiree or veteran. Its FAQ lists the eligible branches: Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Military Police, Navy, NOAA Corps, Space Force and US Public Health Service. The test is military service. A civilian police or fire job isn’t on that list.

Verification runs through ID.me, which gives you a one-time use promo code to share with your TruGreen sales representative. The page says the code has no expiration date, and that an existing customer can call customer support to have the discount applied to the account. The ID.me store listing for TruGreen reads 10% off annual plans for active military and veterans.

What The Terms Say

The page says the discount is only available to residential customers for Lawn, TruDefense, TruBarrier, TruShrub and Flea and Tick plans. You sign up for an annual plan through PrePay or EasyPay, and the discount is applied to your future invoices. The page also says it can’t be combined with any other offer or discount.

What The Cash Back Check Found

Rakuten sent us to its general home page for TruGreen, TopCashback sent us to a not-found page, and Active Junky and Hoopla Doopla had no TruGreen page. MaxRebates answered with its own home page, which means it has no TruGreen page under the names we tried. Fluz’s TruGreen page describes the general Fluz virtual card, so it isn’t a store offer either.
