Sensibo’s own site names no first responder discount, and ID.me says it isn’t aware of one. What does exist is cash back on Sensibo orders through MaxRebates, which pays you after the order tracks instead of lowering the price at checkout. If you’ve got a window unit or a mini split cooling a house that sits empty through most of your shift, a controller that runs the schedule for you is an easy thing to price out, and this is how to get something back on it.
Sensibo makes smart controllers for air conditioners and heat pumps. Its home page lists Sensibo Sky, Sensibo Air and Sensibo Air Pro for AC control, Sensibo Pure and Sensibo Elements for air quality, a room sensor and a smart window and door sensor as accessories, and an Energy Saver Plan called Sensibo Plus. Its FAQ says what you need to make it work: a remote controlled AC or heat pump, a smartphone and a Wi-Fi network with an internet connection.
How To Get The Sensibo First Responder Discount
There’s no discount to claim on Sensibo’s side, so there’s no code to find and no verification to complete. Sensibo’s home page and its terms of service mention no first responder or military discount, and a search of its store for “first responder” and for “military” came back empty, while a control search for “sky” returned Sensibo products. ID.me’s page for Sensibo gives the same answer. The route that does exist runs through MaxRebates:
- Create a free MaxRebates account if you don’t have one.
- Open Sensibo’s store page on MaxRebates and click through to Sensibo’s site.
- Buy from Sensibo’s own site in that same visit, and add everything you want to the order at once.
- Check your MaxRebates account afterward to confirm the order tracked.
Buy On Sensibo’s Own Site
Sensibo’s home page says it covers the Sensibo Air with a 30-day money-back guarantee, and then adds a condition: this guarantee “is exclusively available for purchases made on our official Sensibo website only.” That fits the cash back route, since you click through to Sensibo’s own site, and it’s a reason to skip a marketplace listing even if it looks cheaper. The page also lists free shipping with 2+ items, a free 1-year warranty and easy returns, and its FAQ says that if you’re not satisfied in the first 30 days you can email [email protected] for a full refund.
Read Sensibo’s terms of service before you order, because they read more firmly than the home page does. They say orders are placed online through the company’s website, and that after acceptance an order isn’t subject to cancellation and all sales are final. Both statements are on Sensibo’s own pages, and the two are hard to reconcile from the pages alone, so keep your order confirmation email and ask Sensibo support which one applies to your order before you buy a unit you’re unsure about.
What MaxRebates’ Page Says
MaxRebates’ Sensibo page lists terms worth knowing before you click through. Cash back earnings are based on the final purchase amount, excluding tax, shipping and the amount saved through coupons. Returning or canceling part or all of your orders may void cash back earnings, and coupon codes from other sites than MaxRebates may void them too. The page also says all cash back rates are subject to change and at the merchant’s discretion, which is why this post doesn’t print a figure. Check the number on MaxRebates’ Sensibo page the day you order.
Sensibo’s footer invites anyone to join a VIP list for exclusive updates and savings. Since MaxRebates warns that coupon codes from other sites may void cash back, check with MaxRebates before you add a code from that list to the same order.
Subscriptions Can Be Excluded
TopCashback, which also lists Sensibo, says Sensibo Shield AC Filters and Sensibo Plus Monthly and Annually aren’t eligible for cash back. The MaxRebates terms read for this post don’t mention subscription plans, so treat TopCashback’s note as a warning that a plan like the Energy Saver Plan may not earn cash back on any portal. If the plan matters to you, ask the portal before you buy it, and plan on earning cash back on the hardware only.
