Who Qualifies
YETI’s program is for active military members, veterans, first responders, nurses and government employees. YETI may ask you to verify again each year to keep your group status.
First responders can be active or retired. ID.me verifies EMTs and paramedics, firefighters and law enforcement officers. Police officers, sheriff’s deputies, state troopers, corrections officers and probation officers count as law enforcement. Security officers, coroners and civilian employees don’t qualify.
Nurses qualify as their own group, and you don’t need to be a first responder to get the 20%. ID.me accepts registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, licensed vocational nurses, nurse practitioners and certified registered nurse anesthetists. Certified nursing assistants, nurse aides, patient care technicians, school nurses, home health nurses and travel nurses are on the list too. You have to have graduated from a nursing program and met the requirements to get a nursing license.
Nurses enter a state license type and license number. If ID.me can’t find you in its nurse database, you upload an ID card, an employment letter signed by an administrator, your nursing license or a pay stub, with your first and last name and a nurse position showing. First responders upload an ID card, a training certification, a signed verification letter on official letterhead, a pay stub or a notification of personnel action, with their name and job title on it.
What The 20% Covers
The 20% applies to eligible YETI gear. Eligibility depends on available inventory, and YETI can change which products qualify, the discount and the prices without notice. New releases, seasonal colors and limited-edition products aren’t eligible, so a freshly released color won’t take the discount.
The discount doesn’t apply to previous purchases, shipping, taxes or fees. It can’t be transferred or redeemed for cash or credit, and it can’t be combined with certain other promotions. It applies to domestic orders only, so international orders and shipping aren’t eligible.
Using It Fairly
The program is for you, not your friends or family, and sharing your account information with others is prohibited. YETI watches these orders, and it can revoke your access if it finds someone taking advantage of the discount.
Buying discounted gear and then reselling it, or taking reimbursement for it in cash, other products or services, can get you disqualified. Going over $10,000 of discounted purchases in a calendar year can get your orders canceled and your account suspended from the program.
