How To Get The Disney World First Responder Discount

Disney World’s own offers page doesn’t list a first responder deal, but ID.me’s Walt Disney World page says first responders save up to $80. It’s a third-party listing with no details on what the savings come off, so treat it as something to check, not something to count on.

Here’s where things stand. When we read Disney World’s special offers page, it showed 14 offers available, and none of them was aimed at first responders. ID.me, the verification service many stores use, has its own Walt Disney World Resort page with a line that says First Responders save up to $80. It doesn’t say whether that’s tickets, rooms or something else, or how many days you’d need to buy. The same page prints the same “up to $80” for every group it lists, so it looks like a standard listing rather than something written for firefighters and paramedics.

How To Get The Disney World First Responder Discount

  1. Open the Walt Disney World page on ID.me, using the button below.
  2. Sign in or create a free ID.me account and verify your first responder status. The page says some restrictions may apply, and that deals can change at any time based on the store.
  3. Open the offer once you’re verified and read what it covers: which tickets, how many days, which dates.
  4. Compare the price you’re shown against what Disney charges for the same tickets on the same dates. “Up to” means the saving can be smaller, and sometimes it’s nothing.
  5. Buy through the link only if it’s cheaper, and keep your confirmation with you.

Who Qualifies, According To ID.me

The verification here is ID.me’s, so its rules decide who counts. ID.me’s help article lists emergency medical technicians at the basic, medium or advanced level, career, volunteer and retired firefighters, and police officers (federal, state, local and campus, active and retired). It also names sheriff’s deputies and corrections officers at government-run or private institutions. 911 dispatchers are on the list for select offers only, and an ambulance driver qualifies only with documented EMT or paramedic status. The article’s tip is that nurses, doctors and other medical professionals are not considered first responders unless specifically listed.

Why We Say To Compare First

A discount is only worth taking if the final number is lower than the plain price for your dates. Keep a tab with Disney’s own tickets open next to the ID.me offer, pick the same days in both places, and compare the totals after taxes. If they match, you’ve lost nothing by checking, and you can book whichever way you prefer.
