My Medic gives first responders 15% off, verified through GovX ID, and its own discount page names the groups plainly: “All first responders including firefighters, law enforcement, and EMTs.” You get a single-use code after you verify, and My Medic limits you to one code per day.
My Medic sells first aid kits, kit refills and first aid supplies, and the home page leads with kits. It says all of its first aid kits are made at its headquarters in North Salt Lake, Utah. Its Our Story page says the company was born after a tragic car accident took the life of a loved one, and that a lack of equipment, proper training and a long wait for emergency medical services to arrive led to an unnecessary death. If you carry a kit on shift or keep one in a truck, that’s the reason behind the products you’d be buying.
How To Get The My Medic First Responder Discount
- Open My Medic’s first responder discount page and choose the discount button.
- Verify your affiliation with GovX ID. My Medic says verification is real-time, and if you already have a GovX ID account you can just log in.
- After you verify, you’ll receive a single-use discount code to apply at checkout. Copy it before you leave the page.
- For a later order, log in with your GovX ID again to get a new code.
Who The 15% Covers
My Medic runs four discount pages, and each one is 15% through GovX ID. The first responder page is the one for you: it names firefighters, law enforcement and EMTs. The site’s footer labels one link EMS and Healthcare, but that link opens the healthcare page, which names “Medical doctors, licensed nurses, etc.” and doesn’t name EMTs, so use the first responder page if you’re an EMT or paramedic. The other two pages cover US military personnel, including reservists, active-duty members, veterans and retirees, and K-12, college or university teachers, professors and staff.
The discount page prints no minimum order, exclusions or expiry. Read the terms attached to your code at checkout, since the page only says the code is single-use and limited to one per day.
Bags Are Covered For Life, Supplies Aren’t
My Medic’s Lifetime Warranty says that if one of its bags ever fails, it will replace it, with no warranty card and no registration. It covers the original owner and isn’t transferable. What it leaves out is the contents: bandages, medications and other first aid supplies are single-use consumables with expiration dates, so they’re not covered, and that’s what the kit refills are for. To make a claim, email [email protected] with a photo or short video, a description of what happened and your order number if you have one. My Medic says it responds within 2 business days.
Shipping, Returns And HSA Or FSA Cards
Orders are processed within 2-3 business days, and shipping is free on orders over $100. My Medic ships to U.S. addresses, U.S. Territories, APO, FPO and DPO addresses, and P.O. boxes, which matters if you’re stationed away from a street address. Returns are accepted for a refund, replacement or exchange within 30 days of placing your order, as long as items are unused and in original condition with packaging and tags intact, with proof of purchase. Return shipping is on you unless you bought Checkout+ with the order. If you pay with an HSA or FSA card, the FAQ says all products on the site are HSA and FSA approved except some survival tools such as the Leatherman Raptor and fire starters, and you can email for an itemized receipt.
Q&A
Q: How much is the My Medic first responder discount?
A: 15% off. You verify through GovX ID and get a single-use code to apply at checkout.
Q: Are EMTs covered, or only firefighters and police?
A: The first responder page names firefighters, law enforcement and EMTs. The separate healthcare page names medical doctors and licensed nurses.
Q: Can I use the same code twice?
A: No. Each code is single-use, you log in with GovX ID for a new one, and My Medic limits you to one code per day.
Q: Does it work through ID.me?
A: My Medic’s offer runs through GovX ID. ID.me’s page for the brand says it isn’t aware that My Medic offers first responders discounts, so don’t look for it there.
Q: Do military members and teachers get the same rate?
A: My Medic’s military and teacher pages each show 15%, verified through the same GovX ID process.
Q: Does the warranty cover the supplies in my kit?
A: No. The warranty covers the bag, and the supplies inside are single-use consumables that aren’t covered.
Q: How long do I have to return an order?
A: 30 days from placing it, with unused items in original condition and proof of purchase.
