Hooters Offers a First Responder Discount

First responders perform a hard and dangerous job that saves lives; to show our appreciation, restaurants such as Hooters offer special perks and discounts for them on certain days – like National First Responders Day on October 28. Hooters is best known for its wings but it also has a rich tradition of giving back to its community (per its website).

Recently, Chipotle joined forces with NASCAR driver Greg Biffle to host National First Responders Day race at Darlington Raceway in South Carolina. Biffle has extensive experience at Darlington, having earned two Sprint Cup wins and led 718 laps on its 1.366-mile circuit.

Hooters is offering all active firefighters, police officers and EMTs wearing uniform or providing ID to dine for free on National First Responders Day race, valid only at participating locations. Firehouse Subs will also honor our heroes with a special offer: on October 28, those wearing uniform can purchase any medium- or larger-sized sub and receive 10 free boneless wings (regular price $8.99)!

Krispy Kreme is offering all active first responders, such as law enforcement officers, nurses, EMS workers and firefighters, who wear or display their badge or uniform a complimentary doughnut and coffee at select locations on October 28 only. This offer applies for in-store purchases only on this date.

First responders have many opportunities to save money this month on food, drinks and other purchases. Some retailers even provide year-round discounts, like Spec Op Tools offering 15% off all products to first responders who verify their status on its site.
