We couldn’t find a Hydrow first responder discount on the pages we were able to read, so the route that checks out is cash back through Rakuten. Hydrow’s own site gave us trouble, which is worth knowing before you rely on this.
Hydrow sells connected rowing machines and the workouts that go with them. Rakuten’s page for the brand says Hydrow’s founder has been involved in competitive rowing nearly his entire life, and that the idea for the machine grew out of the rhythm of the sport. If you’ve been eyeing a rower for home, it’s one of the more recognizable names.
How To Get The Hydrow First Responder Discount
Hydrow’s website blocked our automated page reads, so we looked at it in a regular browser. That read found no military or first responder page, and no footer link for one. ID.me, which many retailers use to verify first responders, says it isn’t aware that Hydrow offers first responders discounts. Hydrow does have a page on ID.me, titled Hydrow Discounts for Everyone, and what it lists is open to any buyer: a try-at-home period and financing. GovX’s brand list has no Hydrow page. There’s no code to enter and no badge to verify, so here’s what does work:
- Create a free Rakuten account, or sign in if you already have one.
- Open Rakuten’s Hydrow store page.
- Click Shop Now, which takes you to Hydrow’s site.
- Pick your rower in that same visit and check out normally.
Fluz doesn’t list Hydrow as a brand offer, so Rakuten is the first partner on our list that carries it.
What Rakuten Doesn’t Cover
This is the part to read before you order. Rakuten’s terms for Hydrow say cash back isn’t available on gift cards or e-gift cards, on 1:1 Personal Training, or on Hydrow Memberships. So the machine itself is where cash back applies, and the membership that gives you the workouts is not. Rakuten also says a coupon, promotional code or discount that isn’t listed on Rakuten may void the cash back, so if Hydrow emails you a code, decide which saving you want before you check out. We don’t print a cash back rate here because the figure moves; open the store page that day and read it.
