This FCA-backed program gives eligible law enforcement officers, firefighters and EMTs the chance to buy or lease vehicles at significant discounts off retail price. Eligible law enforcement personnel include police officers, sheriffs’ deputies, correctional officers, state troopers and federal law enforcement officials; while eligible fire service personnel include both career and volunteer firefighters along with paramedics and emergency medical service dispatchers as well as spouses of first responders – making their spouses also eligible.
Ram debuted their “Built to Serve” line of limited-edition half-ton trucks last year to recognize branches of the U.S. Armed Forces; Army with Gator Green vehicle and Navy with Flame Red or Ceramic Gray vehicles respectively. Now this autumn, they’re expanding this initiative by unveiling an “EMS Edition”, featuring Hydro Blue or Bright White paint schemes as tribute to firefighters and first responders.
The special edition Ram 1500 Big Horn or Lone Star Crew Cab is offered with either the 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 or 5.7-liter eTorque V-8 powertrains, providing either performance cloth or vinyl sport seats embroidered with “Built to Serve” panels, as well as front seat inboard shoulder panels adorned with Pouch Attachment Ladder System/Modular Lightweight Load-bearing Equipment (PALS/MOLLE) webbing for patch application or other gear attachment purposes.
First responders can take advantage of this special offer at any local Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram dealership. To be eligible, drivers must present valid government ID or official department identification along with a notarized letter on agency letterhead stating this purchase or lease is authorized for work purposes.
