Santikos sells first responders a movie ticket, a large popcorn and a large drink for $6 each every Monday. The theater chain’s own page calls it First Responder and Military Mondays, and the eligibility line names First Responders and EMS personnel.
The page says the Monday pricing is available at all Santikos locations, and it carries over to Grand Theatre and AmStar Cinemas locations too, with one exception: The Grand Fort Bliss. So before you drive anywhere, check that your nearest screen is on the right side of that line.
How To Get The Santikos First Responder Discount
- Pick a Monday. The program runs every Monday, and only Mondays.
- Take your valid ID. The page says to present it at guest services.
- Buy at the box office. The page says tickets must be purchased the same day at the box office, so a ticket bought online ahead of time isn’t what the page describes.
- Order your $6 ticket, large popcorn and large drink. The page prices each of the three at $6.
- If you want a premium screen, ask whether your location has one. The page says premium formats are available at select locations where offered.
What It Costs In Premium Formats
The page lists the premium prices for first responders in a short list: PLF AVX/GPX at $8.50, 3D at $8.75, PLF AVX/GPX 3D at $11.00, IMAX at $15.00 and IMAX 3D at $17.75. The page says those formats are offered only at select locations, so check whether yours has one before you plan around a premium screen.
The offer covers concessions at the same price, which makes it a cheap night out for one. If you bring the kids, the page doesn’t say whether family members who come with you get the same pricing, so ask at guest services before you line up everyone for popcorn.
Using It On Holiday Orders
This is a theater ticket and not a store order, so sale items don’t enter into it. The page doesn’t mention Black Friday or Cyber Monday, and it doesn’t say whether the Monday price can be combined with another offer. It does carry a warning that additional charges for tax and variable holiday pricing may apply, so the total at the box office can differ from the $6 on the page. The page also says the offer isn’t valid for special events or private screenings.
If a holiday week has you planning a movie afternoon with relatives in town, check what your location charges before you promise anyone a $6 seat.
