Figo Pet Insurance

How To Get The Figo Pet Insurance First Responder Discount

We couldn’t find a Figo discount for first responders. Figo’s FAQ names a 5% military discount, and nothing on that page mentions police, fire or EMS. The one 5% any household can use is the multi-pet discount, which applies when two or more pets are enrolled.

If you’re shopping for pet insurance after a rough shift with a new puppy at home, the discount question is short and Figo’s answer to it is shorter.

How To Get The Figo Pet Insurance First Responder Discount

No first responder program turned up, so there’s no code to enter and no badge to verify. This is the order we’d go in:

  1. Check your state first. The FAQ says the military discount is available in most states and lists FL, NY, TN and WA as the exceptions.
  2. If you’re insuring two pets, start a quote for the first one and use Add Pet for the second. The FAQ says the 5% appears once two or more pets are enrolled.
  3. Contact Figo’s Customer Experience team, the contact the FAQ names, and ask whether anything applies to police, fire or EMS work. Tell them your job and your state, and write down who answers, since nothing public backs up what you’re told.
  4. Compare the final quote with the one you started with before you enroll, because the FAQ doesn’t say whether the two 5% discounts can be combined.

If you end up paying full price and want something back, the one route to money back is a Fluz virtual card, a general-purpose card that earns cash back on whatever you pay with it. Fluz’s Figo page is that general card and not a Figo offer, and its rate moves, so we don’t print one.

What Figo’s FAQ Says

The answer sits on figopetinsurance.com in the policy basics section of the FAQ, under the question “Are discounts available?” We read it in a browser, since the answers load after the page opens. Figo says it always automatically provides a 5% discount when 2 or more pets are enrolled. It also says it offers a 5% military discount in most states, with the exception of FL, NY, TN and WA, and it closes by sending readers to Customer Experience for more info.

That’s the whole answer. It doesn’t say who counts as military, what proof Figo asks for, or whether the discounts add together. It doesn’t name first responders anywhere. We found no separate military or discounts page on Figo’s site, so the FAQ is the only place we saw it written down.

What The Cash Back Check Found

We looked for a Figo page on every cash back site we use. Fluz has a Figo page, but it’s its general virtual card page and not a Figo-specific offer. Rakuten sends the Figo address to its home page, and TopCashback, Active Junky and Hoopla Doopla return not-found pages. MaxRebates returned its home page when we asked for Figo, which means it has no Figo store page. So there’s no cash back route to point you to for a policy purchase.

Q&A

Q: Does Figo have a first responder discount?
A: We couldn’t find one. The FAQ names a military discount and a multi-pet discount and doesn’t name first responders.

Q: How much is the military discount?
A: The FAQ says 5%, in most states, with the exception of FL, NY, TN and WA. It doesn’t define who counts as military.

Q: Can I get a discount for more than one pet?
A: Yes. The FAQ says Figo always automatically provides a 5% discount when 2 or more pets are enrolled, and the second pet is added with the Add Pet button on the quote page.

Q: Is there cash back on a Figo policy?
A: Not a route we can point you to. Fluz’s Figo page is a general card, and the other sites we checked have no working Figo page.

Q: Buying food and supplies for the pet you’re insuring?
A: Our Chewy cash back page covers that side of the budget.
