First responders require fast internet connections in order to effectively complete their jobs. As part of the national public safety broadband network, FirstNet, Spectrum is offering first responders a special discount. This discount applies to police, fire, and emergency medical service workers verified by Spectrum as first responders – and is applicable both wired and wireless services; additionally they offer TV and internet bundles that include discounted internet.
To be eligible for the discount, customers must first establish eligibility with Spectrum either online or over the phone. They must present valid government ID such as police or fire department ID cards as well as badge and letter of authority from an emergency medical service organization – this discount must go to either their primary account holder/manager; immediate family members of first responders who have passed can also qualify.
Spectrum also provides discounts to military veterans and active-duty military personnel as part of its Military Connect program, such as internet, TV and digital voice services; theme park tickets; car rentals; other travel accommodations as well as discounts on insurance policies and prescriptions are among these offerings.
