Volcano Bay at Universal Orlando is one of the park’s most spectacular attractions, boasting towering volcanoes looming over sun-kissed beaches with palm trees swaying gently in a South Seas paradise. Offering thrilling water slides and secluded waterfalls for you to experience, Volcano Bay boasts both thrill rides and serene waterfalls – but with so much popular interest it also means long wait times to ride it all!
Staying on-site at Universal Orlando Resort hotels such as Cabana Bay can help reduce waits. Guests there can quickly gain entry through Volcano Bay with just a quick show of their room key, and will gain half an hour early entry with minimal waits at popular rides like Volcano Bay.
As another way of minimizing waits, arrive before the park opens and select your spot. Many rides feature “Ride Now” signs which allows you to bypass Virtual Line and ride immediately; other attractions, like Waturi Beach wave pool and two river features do not typically require waits between rides, making these great spots to hang out between rides.
Eligible service members can save on tickets to Volcano Bay with the Military Freedom Pass, which offers unlimited admission (without blackout dates) along with access to Universal’s theme parks, hotels, and entertainment options. Passes can be purchased either on Universal Orlando’s official website or from authorized Military Ticket & Travel offices.
