As we continue to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, first responders have been playing an instrumental role in keeping us safe. Restaurants and companies across the country are responding by offering first responder discounts at their establishments; some even offering free meals and other perks to these heroes who are fighting this health crisis head on.
Fly Rides provides e-bikes at 25% discount to medical personnel such as nurses, doctors and hospital employees; first responders can take advantage of discounts of 33% at Ghost Bed; 30% at GelPro/GORUCK and 20% at Hammer Nutrition; JR Cigar offers first responders 10% off cigars and accessories; while Wilson provides 15% discounts to paid or volunteer firefighters/police officers/EMTs/EMTSs.
Hotels and airlines alike are providing discounts. The Linq Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas is offering first responders up to 30% off bookings; Budget Truck Rental is offering 20% off local moves for military personnel or FEMA volunteers; Bally’s Atlantic City and Las Vegas offer up to 30% discounts to first responders as well.
Liberty University is honoring first responders’ efforts with a tuition discount. The nonprofit online university has not raised tuition rates in eight years and now provides first responders with a special $250/credit hour rate on both undergraduate and graduate programs.
