Stolen Catalytic Converters by First Responders Have Increased by 1000% Over Two Years
Jiffy Lube has joined forces with IMPD in an attempt to stem the rising trend of catalytic converter thefts by providing free markings using heat-resistant paint that include the vehicle VIN number etched onto them. They hope this will deter thieves and those purchasing stolen catalytic converters from selling them back through other auto parts stores or scrap metal dealers.
